Jessica Smith is a Family Nurse Practitioner who provides comprehensive health care for individuals across the life span, including but not limited to, performing wellness exams and preoperative physicals, treating acute medical problems and managing chronic stable diseases.
Jessica grew up traveling the world with her parents who served in the United States Army and then attended the University of Michigan for her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. After Michigan, she spent the next 12 years working as a Registered Nurse in MedSurg, OB/GYN and hematology/oncology inpatient units at several different hospitals while traveling with her spouse, Mike, and his company. General Motors transferred her family to Northwest Louisiana in 2003 and again in 2006. Jessica has called Shreveport home since 2006.
After settling into Louisiana, Jessica was finally able to return to school for her masters degree. She graduated from Northwestern State University in 2010 with a Master of Science in Nursing. For the past 10 years she has worked in primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She relocated to Highland Clinic in 2018 and now works with Drs. Roan Flenniken and Paul Rushing.
She is a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Jessica is married to her spouse, Mike, and has two children, Evan and Mairead. She enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, reading and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
She is accepting patients ages 12 and up.
